Broken Top Lava Love

The Broken Top Lava Love project is one of our absolute favorites, encompassing a remodel, addition and furniture procurement. Catering to world-traveling clients, the design epitomizes a harmonious blend of global sophistication and authentic Bend character. Locally sourced lava rock (notably featured on the exterior, fireplace and in the wine cellar) are an anchoring point for the home, echoing the rich volcanic landscape of Central Oregon. The sophisticated and cutting-edge design is a modern interpretation of a traditional Broken Top home, elevated through the use of PNW-sourced shou sugi ban, zellige tiles, ultra-modern Foscarini and Artemide light fixtures and custom Serena Dugan Studio wallpaper. Designed to serve as a timeless gathering space, the mixture of old-world warmth, modern, yet personal touches, and local regard positions this home to stand the test for generations to come. This project was a collaboration with The Fort Construction and Lightfoot Architecture.
